Review content:
A gift from Tiffany will always cause a big wow, although you can often get comparable quality gems elsewhere for less -- you do pay more for the blue box. That said, don't buy on Ebay -- the stuff is usually counterfeit. At any rate, if you want a quasi-affordable treat, visit the silver floor where many pieces start under $100, or have fun, dress up and pretend you've got the big bucks to spend. Tiffany is open later and on weekends now, but largely to cater to tourists. If you want peace, quiet and sanity, go in the middle of a weekday.
