Review content:
The Harper Group was the first and only temp agency I sent my resume into, on a whim while taking a course through NYU. Within two hours of submitting my resume via email, I received a phone call from Jean, setting up an appointment to get in to meet with her the next day. I was immediately happy with her encouragement and dedication to finding me work, even in these difficult summer months when temps are replaced by interns. Although it took a couple weeks for Harper to find me work, I was pleased that when I called in to check on the status, they recognized me by name and were polite and encouraging. I haven't spent much time with Jill, but she was professional and courteous in the brief time I did speak with her. Jean, however, was an absolute gem to work with! I hope to continue with Harper until I find a permanent position!
Pros: They know you by name; friendly, concerned staff
Cons: As a smaller firm, their job selection is more limited
