Review content:
T & G Roofing provided us with what is called a "thin ply" roof. It is an industrial style roof that is similar to Walmart, high schools, and commercial buildings, but since we are a residential, we didn't know about the overall look and appearance. It looks very industrial in a residential setting. The flashing is not clean-looking, there is no smooth surfaces or clean edges. The seams look like smeared bubblegum.
It doesn't appear to be home-like. It wasn't clear how it would work in the end. They said, "It's going to look like a roof." I thought, "Oh it will look like what I have, but white." But that's not what it looks like at all! One of the workers said, "Well, that's what it is supposed to look like." Then how come I didn't know it was supposed to look like a high school roof?
However, the savings was a big draw. It appears as though I'm going to save thousands on my heating and air conditioning due to the roofing. Our AC hasn't had to come on except when it is 90+ degrees outside and it stays warmer during the night. We're actually pretty happy with the outcome because it is about saving money and the cost of the roof was very reasonable as well.
