Review content:
I've never written a review, but I had a pretty rotten experience with Lovett Dental of Humble today. Our original appointment time was scheduled for 10:30. I was going to be 15 minutes late, which is usually fine with most Dr. / Dentist offices, but I called to make sure it was okay before we went in. The receptionist told me that it was no problem, and that she could move me to 11:00, because someone else had cancelled. \r \r So we get there at 10:55 for our 11:00 appointment. We sit in the waiting area until 11:20, when they call her back for x-rays. She is 4. I told them I do not want x-rays, as I feel that she shouldn't be exposed to the radiation at her age and size. So they have us sit back down. 11:30, they call us again, along with someone else who came in after us for an 11:30 appointment. \r \r We get upstairs to see Dr. Nguyen, and she goes straight to the kid who had the 11:30 appointment. The assistant tells Dr. Nguyen that we were the first appointment, and we were there first. Dr. Nguyen looks directly at us, then goes to work on the girl anyway. I was pretty upset by this, so I went to the front desk and told them what had just happened. I cancelled my daughter's appointment, along with some procedures they had just scheduled my husband for, which would have brought no telling how much in for them through our insurance (our bill was quoted over $1400.00). \r \r I am very disappointed with the way we were treated today, and I refuse not only to do business with such a practice, but to put my daughter's dental care in uncaring hands. If the dentist had a problem with my denying x-rays, she shouldn't have made it personal. It is our right to choose.
