I have never, ever experieced service like this in my life. I walk into an establishment that has been opened for 7 weeks; I'm a new customer - a city native looking for a quick bite. The owner/operator/cook continues to not only be rude to me as a person but also insult his own race/heritage. This is an black-owner business and the owner says that ""we"" black people are always looking for something extra or free when i asked what was providided in a 8.99 meal. Mind you, his menu was posted on a white dry erase board with black marker. My choices for the day were Oxtails, Chick and Dumplings, Chopped Beef, Smothered Pork Chops, Oxtail Soup and Neckbones. What choices, huh? I rarely eat pork; i was belittled for not eating pork and then again when i made the decision to try his pork chops. \r

The punches didnt stop there - seemed like i wasting his time since i was still deciding on the 4 choices for entrees, and that maybe since i am black and supposedly can't afford to pay full price- he could provide me a sample of the food or work with me on a price. i knew right then and there to walk out and dont spend a cent in this type of busines.\r

I am a corporate marketing manager for a major QSR business; I dont need his pity. The menuboard was not user-friendly. There were 2 prices on the board 8.99 and 11.99 - I guess every customer that asks questions about the prices are stupid. you have 4 -5 meats to choose from and a few veggies. if i walked in the back and did a QSC, I guarantee he wouldnt be compliant with any safety/health codes.\r

why would you treat a first time customer in that manner? your average net sales are probably in the low 3-4k and the traffic in that area is low. You should be doing everything you can to maintain customers and not pull them away. This is definitely going to be posted on my Fav Local Spots Blog as to a place to never step foot in.
