We took our two Yorkies here several times and were told that group play would be supervised, and signed a document stating this. We felt our dogs were safe there, but on 6/24/11, we received a phone call from Animal Emergency to tell us that Chief (our 5.5 lb Yorkie) was brought to them DECEASED. Chief was KILLED by another dog at this facility while UNSUPERVISED!! We are in anguish that our dog is DEAD - he was the happiest, most playful and social, sweet little dog. He was healthy and beautiful. His sister Rosey is devastated without him and she keeps looking for him, thinking he will arrive at the door when someone comes in! We paid extra $$ to bring our dogs here, thinking it would be good for them to be social. Do not be fooled into thinking it is good for your dog to run free with other dogs. If they are unsupervised, death is definitely possible, as we can attest to. Our dog was NOT supervised at the time he was killed. You must be aware of this when deciding where to take your pet. We returned to pick up his ASHES and FUR-CLIPPINGS rather than him.
