In my opinion, anyone looking to join an area athletic club, should be wary of this place, or at least be absolutely positive nothing will change in your life for a year, once you sign their membership contract. My girlfriend and her fiance joined, and unfortunately have to move to Houston, but Premier refused to let them out of their membership contract. Thing is, if they were members who had been there and used the facility often I would understand, but they weren't even members for a month, they could see her fiance had only been in there twice, she hadn't been there once, not once, and the only thing they would do for them is reduce the contract to 6 months. So they have to pay for 6 months of a membership they'll never use, and that's only if we send them PROOF of their Houston residence or they'll charge them the full year. I can understand keeping the sign up fee, but making them pay the 6 months, for a membership never used, and very recently signed up for, adding further aggravation to a move not planned for? C'mon! Yes, they have the right to make them pay for a year, and yes paying 6 months is better than 12, but something about this rubs me the wrong way, even the cable company isn't making them pay the full extent of their contract, and they're 9 months into a 2 year contract. The cable company! And those guys are horrible. $600 bucks for nothing. This kind of thing is ridiculous.
