Kitchen Kapers is a chain of 13 retail stores on the east coast (primarily in NJ. PA and DE). I stopped in their Cherry Hill store on my way back from Virginia recently and was delighted to have found this great store.
Kitchen Kapers carries an excellent selection of items for your kitchen and home. It's packed to the rafters with tools to delight the home cook. I saw coffee makers, bakeware, blenders, cookbooks, BBQ equipment, cutlery, pots and pans and much more. They carry many brands so ask if you don't see what you want. I gravitated toward the Chefs Tools section and picked up a Bron Professional Mandoline (after my recent trip to the Culinary Institute, this was on my shopping list), some grilling sauces from Stonewall Kitchens, seasoned skewers and some nifty placements from Saleen Pacific (these are terrific).
The sales staff was pleasantly helpful without being overbearing and they were knowledgeable. Don't live near any of the Kitchen Kapers stores? Shop on-line at www.kitchenkapers.com. This store will graciously order anything you don't see. Many of the on-line items also have free shipping. A great resource for cooks (and the people who love them).
