Only a few months ago, my cat fell ill with a liver failure condition known as hepatic lipidosis, or fatty liver. As I hadn’t had a consistent vet in quite some time, I took her to Alpine Animal Hospital simply because my parents had used them before. Right from the very beginning, both Cleo and I received the most caring treatment possible, from both the doctors and the women in the office. Although I chose to nurse Cleo at home instead of hospitalizing her, the vets – particularly Dr. Tim Ruggles, the young vet Cleo saw almost exclusively – supported me every step of the way. In fact, Dr. Ruggles called me every few days to find out how Cleo was progressing. After a month of force-feeding her, Cleo started eating and drinking on her own, and is now doing just fine. I don’t think Cleo and I could have pulled through as well as we did without the support of Dr. Ruggles and everyone else at Alpine Animal Hospital.
