t's a little out of the way and costs more than Como Zoo in St. Paul (8 bucks compared to free), but the Minnesota Zoo does an excellent job in displaying animals in their natural habitats. They have huge paddocks for animals to run and graze. There's a dolphin pool where you can see them through underwater windows. Avoid the monorail tour unless it's raining, it's really slow and the cars aren't ventilated very well, which is horrible on hot days. The zoo has good concerts during the summer and a little farm where they've got pigs and cows and chickens, which is great for kids.
