I once bought what I thought was a rare book at a garage sale and took it here to have it appraised. Unfortunately, it didn't turn out to be a great find since the education I received was worth more than the book.
The staff is really well-informed and I learned a lot about that to look for in books. They have an excellent collection of rare books in-house as well.
