The Charlotte Checkers are located on East Independence Boulevard. It is the best and only place to see a good hockey game within a few hours of living in this area. The checkers are a good team, and they draw a lot of fans who hunger to see a good hockey game. The arena is nice, and the atmosphere is energetic. Between periods is also fun, especially for the kids. The only con would be the drive up to the arena, seeing as Independence is a pretty harsh drive for anyone, but some would say it's well worth the drive for such an exciting game!
