Absolute tan caters to the most vain and arrogant of UVa's student body while providing a service of little to no value. Personal preferences aside, there are always UVa students entering and exiting, so they must be doing something reasonably well. If you must tan, and you are car-less, there's no better place to go.
I do find it amusing that they sell cell phones there too. "If our machines don't give you cancer, these other machines will."
