I went to the Carnegie about four years ago and was not impressed. It was run down, dimly lit, and not welcoming. I went back a few months ago after the renovations were complete and was super surprised at the transformation. The library is so nice now! There is a Crazy Mocha cafe inside, a lot of computers (available for library card holders only), and of course many, many books. The travel section is impressive and set up like a lounge. Self check-out machines are available too. Going to the library is so much more enjoyable now.
