This isn't the Plaza, but it deserves an A+ for affordable hotels in Modesto. \r

I have stayed here a number of times when visiting family in the area, and the rooms have always been clean, and the staff is warm and good-natured.\r

The complimentary breakfasts are simple, but fine for a quick bite on the go. They have bagels and cream cheese, muffins, pastries, fruits, juices, hard-boiled eggs, coffee and tea, and a make-your-own waffle station.\r

The courtyard is pretty, with a swimming pool and small pond with a waterfall. The plants look well-maintained, and the area is always clean. I like asking for a room on the courtyard side of the building, because it's a nicer view than the parking lot, feels a little safer than the windows on the street, and has always been quieter.\r
