The hotel is a little easy to miss the entrance due to the hotel sign because of the trees is not too visible.\r The Hotel Desk Attendant a very nice person and cordial but shabbily dressed and looked bored or tired, but performed his job well. this worried me that hotel quality would not be up to its value. But the room and the bed was nice and comfortable. The breakfast was great, but some of the messy and inconsiderate guests would not allow the food area look clean and presentable. Overall I was happy with my stay and go back. Thanks. more

Just off Hwy 99 - Had a great time at this hotel. No free breakfast - as they have a restaurant. We did not eat there. We had breakfast across the road at the Sonic America's favorite Drive-In. (just back out across the main road next the hwy) Rooms were spacious and comfy. Beds were upgraded with the softer linens. All was about standard for this star level. Bathroom felt clean and was well appointed. Good supply of shampoo & conditioner. :) Sitting chair was comfy and there was a desk area. The pool/spa is outdoors in the middle of the complex. Very nice area is a little more greener than the average pool area for these types of hotels. Great area to hang out with the kids of all ages. Very welcoming. For dinner we walked over (out the back side of hotel next to Walmart) to John's Incredible Pizza Co. $130 bought us all (6) buffet dinners (excellent macc-n-cheese pizza), lazer tag, mini golf, bumper cars, air hockey, and tons of games. What a great way to spend 3 hours after a long day in the car! There are several great dining options all within walking distance. Olive Garden, Black Angus, Pollo Loco, Outback, they just go on and on. A great place to stay over and hang out. Comfy rooms. Good staff. more

Susie (Susan) at the front desk made our stay wonderful. I am in customer service and she is one of the best. She goes over and above for her customers. Nice Koi pond and pool area. I would stay there again. more

Yes it worth staying here!!!\r \r I have stayed at the Marriott Comfort Inn many times while visiting family. I have always been pleased with the cleanlyness of the rooms and the staff has always been friendly almost to the point that it felt awkward...How offten do you get to say that! This hotel has a nice pool and spa area to hangout after a busy day in Modesto. RIGHT! They also provide free WiFi that actually works.\r \r I think one of the really nice perks about this property is that they, have a restaurant located on the premises, and many times I have been given free breakfast with my stay. I'm not talking about a continental breakfast, I'm talking about a full on breakfast buffet that has good quality food. more

This isn't the Plaza, but it deserves an A+ for affordable hotels in Modesto. \r \r I have stayed here a number of times when visiting family in the area, and the rooms have always been clean, and the staff is warm and good-natured.\r \r The complimentary breakfasts are simple, but fine for a quick bite on the go. They have bagels and cream cheese, muffins, pastries, fruits, juices, hard-boiled eggs, coffee and tea, and a make-your-own waffle station.\r \r The courtyard is pretty, with a swimming pool and small pond with a waterfall. The plants look well-maintained, and the area is always clean. I like asking for a room on the courtyard side of the building, because it's a nicer view than the parking lot, feels a little safer than the windows on the street, and has always been quieter.\r \r Free wi-fi, AAA discounts, and complimentary newspapers in the morning. more

This place is pretty good! It's a mid level hotel so don't be expecting The Ritz okay. However, although small the rooms are really nice. Nice bedding and furniture. They do a really good job. The breakfast buffet is awesome and has a huge spread. The building was built in the 1980's so it's not brand new or anything. The property has been remodeled. There are some small issues, but for the price you just can't beat this place. People are really friendly, and there are lots of extras here that make up for any minuses. If you are a super picky person go spend $130 dollars to stay at the Marriott a few doors down. I say this place is totally worth staying at. The price is very reasonable for what you get. One reviewer below said their are obvious wall patches etc. Like I said this building was built 30 years ago, but it has been remodeled. If you ask me it's a fairly nice place, and for a pretty dang good value. more

I was in Modesto from Portland to see a sick relative and for as emotional as it was to do this, it was nice to come back to a clean, quiet place. So yes, it is older and there is wearing around the edges but I was so happy there. Everything in the room worked very well (hot out and air conditioner worked great), the staff was great- very friendly and very helpful. The morning breakfast was nice to have- sausage, eggs, cereal, juice, bagels, etc. What I loved most was the coy pond!! 16 coy all different sizes, beautiful. You walk out the door and they all come to edge looking for a snack. The area is a little sketchy but for the area, it's a nice place to stay. more

im an employee myself in monterey county for comfort inn.i must say that thare was great service to accomadate my needs by Sabrina at this Comfort Inn. definitely good attitudes, even though thare was some very disturbing guests roaming around 3 in the morning the night i stayed. only downside was wifi for comfort inn 6,was off from 11 till 4 in the am. definetely better cereals and some foods than what we have at our comfort inn and breakfast lady was very kind. for the bad area around the freeway area and people around.this comfort inn was very secure and welcoming. i use to live in modesto before so i know all the areas way to well. Sabrina was very good, hardworking and kind to help me accomdate my room on the phone and my arrival at 3. more

Check-in was super smooth and the desk clerk was very hospitable. We requested on our reservation a ""quiet room"" and the room we received was on the first floor, right next to a lovely waterfall with a koi pond. A microwave, small refrigerator and coffeemaker were also in the room. The hotel is quiet. A continental breakfast in the morning, great coffee and plenty of newspapers in the lobby. All staff was pleasant and accomodating. We'll be staying at a Comfort Inn in the future more
