My wife & I were looking to, both, buy a home and sell our existing home. We looked at online websites in the area we wanted and one of the homes we liked happened to be a Duffy property. We put the house on a ""short list"" of ones we wanted to see in person. We contacted Duffy Realty to setup a viewing; Patrick was our guy. I think the house we ended up seeing first that day is the house we're buying. That house was a 'short sale', so the process is much longer than purchasing a 'resale' home. We went under contract in early Dec-2012 and we will close in mid May-2013. It is/was a stressful process, but Patrick informed us this is the way it would be ahead of time and because we loved the house, we were willing to wait.We chose to list our house also using Duffy Realty because of our good experience(s) with them thus far. We listed our house in Feb-2013 and (fortunately & surprisingly) received 2 offers within the first 2 days. We accepted the 2nd offer which was at list price (also to our surprise). The good: Duffy Realty saves you money when you sell because you dont have one agent assigned to your property; they give you the tools (& list it online), but then you're the boss. The not so good: it's stressful not having that one specific person/agent, but Duffy does a good job of explaining things in advance on their website(s). It helps you anticipate what to expect. I would recommend Duffy Realty and would use them again.
