It took me about a year and a half to get my finances in line enough to pay for the whole lump sum, which unfortunately left me in a state where garnishments were in the equation. After a month of phone tag, I was told to contact another lawyer because they were 'too busy' because of tax season and other Chapter 13's. The boggling factor was I had asked just a month prior if I was being refused as a client and was assured several times that I was not being dismissed.\r

There was far too much miscommunication as to what was going on and what I should do when I would ask about papers I would receive in the mail, only to be later told everything was all "common sense" and I should have done something differently.\r

By the time I left the office, I felt pretty damn stupid because I didn't know how Bankruptcy worked... wasn't that their job? To guide their clients? I guess
