Ted was admitted to Consulate Health Care after experiencing a fall resulting in a cervical fracture and surgical stabilization. His mobility was limited and he had a Halo to maintain his vertabrae placement. His goal was to return home and perform his usual tasks independantly. Because he had steps outside and within his home, he was determined to ambulate with bilayteral loft stand crutches versus a walker. Through extensive PT and OT he was able to increase his upper and lower strength, along with improve his balance and endurance. Physical Therapy performed a home visit and deemed him safe to navigate in and out of his home.
