I’ve been brining my car in for oil changes and small services for about a year and haven’t had a problem. The first major repair I had with Mike Palmer Automotive was for my air conditioner. They replaced the air compressor and recharged with Freon for around $600. When I drove my car for the next few weeks the air was cold less than half the time. I called and took it in again and they told me that there was a new repair for the expansion valve and that this “new” repair would cost me over $1000. When I asked other repair services about this “new” repair they told me that this is something that should have been looked at the first time and could have been included in the initial repair. They also told me that Mike Palmer Automotive overcharged the estimate by at least 2 ½ hours of service time. In all, I think Mike Palmer Automotive is okay for the small services like oil changes, but I don’t trust them anymore a fair price on the big services.
