Used Element Moving on March 22, 2012 5/23/2012

Used Element Moving on March 22, 2012 to move from 2 bedroom apt to 2 bedroom apt. Something told me this was a bad decision when a Enterprise Rental Truck pulled up and three guys in no uniform or even a logo shirt got out. (The Element website shows very nice logoed trucks and proffesional employees. NOT TRUE 3 Men at 5 Hours later, I was not very happy at all with the lack of urgency. When I asked why there was a chip in my wood dining room table, the lead told me ""Oh that was already there, I meant to tell you"". Since I was standing in the dining room watching him slowly wrap my dining room table, he had every opportunity to tell me if it was there, which it was not since it has always been covered in a table runner since purchased 6 months before. It obviously fell in the truck or something. When I started unpacking the next day, I realized that at least two boxes were missing filled with all new skillets, pots and pans and kitchen items totaling over $700. Of course the claim was denied stating I ""signed that all items were delivered and put in the correct space"" So if you decide to risk it with this company, I have the following advice: 1. Number every box and item. 2. Take pictures of every piece of furniture before your move. 3. Make a detailed list of everything they are touching 4. DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING until you have opened every single box and inspected the items, which will take a while so be prepared to keep paying the hourly charge while doing so. 4. DO NOT HAVE HIGH EXPECATIONS OF A PROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE FROM THE STAFF THAT ARRIVE. They don't even know each other since they appear to be hired day laborers more
