It's a religion. I go every Sunday, I leave feeling happy and at peace, with renewed faith in my fellow man and community. It's one of the only places where I have civilized, friendly interactions with random strangers, who ask: I knew all about Quinoa, but what is that Amaranth stuff you just scooped into your bag? , or ""I see you're buying dried skullcap and passionflower in bulk, what on earth is that for?"". people strike up conversations in BB. I met my wife there. I got married there. OK just kidding. But what a great place and without the insane prices of the large ""green"" organicky places. I loved Berkeley Bowl when I was a student, and I love it still.
