I've only been here a few (maybe 5 or so) times so far, but find everyone to be very down to earth & welcoming. Not to mention, the pastor (still don't remember his name...Pastor Davey, I think...) is doctrinally sound and doesn't seem to insert too much of his opinion in his sermons. So far, he has stayed true to the text and what is commonly accepted as right teaching. I am in a small group there too. It's also very down to earth and laid back as far as the conversations go, but the Biblical teaching is on point and not ""laid back"" from a doctrinal perspective. Anyway, no matter if you decide to go here or another church, do as Paul said - search the scriptures for yourself and make sure the truth is being preached. As for the person ""Wamg"" who gave this a one star review...I have yet to run across the opinionated, unfriendly, judgemental, cliquish people here. Wait, let me correct myself...we are ALL this way, which is why we need Jesus. And Jesus seems to be preached here. Didn't this reviewer say in one breath that people at this church are opinionated and judgemental and then in another breath this same reviewr judged, using their own opinion, that this church does not have true Christians going here? That seems to be a bit of the same hypocrisy they are accusing the people at this church to have. Which goes to show, again, that we need to look in the mirror and ask the Lord to work on our hearts, not the hearts of those around us. Anyway, if a church preaches the good news, and this one does, then it has 5 stars in my book, no matter how *gasp* sinful the people that go to the church are.
I can't speak for everyone, but I know for me, that the Lord has used this church and the people at the church to challenge me and help me on my way to a more intimate relationship with Jesus. At the end of the day, that's what's important.
