Mateo is hands down the best stylist in Spokane.
After wandering from salon to salon for years, unsatisfied with other stylists, I met Mateo. I have now been going to Mateo for 4 years, and I have never once been dissatisfied with his work. He has amazing stylistic ideas when I am looking to change my look, but I usually just tell him, ""lets do the usual"", and without explanation he knows what to do. Mateo is kind and attentive, and we are never short for conversation. Each appointment comes with the most delightful and relaxing head and shoulder message as well. Mateo does it right, and he makes sure you love your cut and color before you leave. Mateo definitely has the knowledge and expertise to suit anyones stylistic needs. Go to Mateo once and you will keep coming back!
Department Z is amazing too, a unique boutique salon located up the stairs from Zola's bar ( an amazing bar by the way). The salon is clean, modern, and has its own stylistic flare. The employees are talkative and extremely friendly. I have been to all of the salons in Spokane, and Dept. Z is my favorite.
