Across the board, Family Auto and Transmission has knowledge, skills, everything. I was an ASE certified mechanic, but I'm not doing mechanic work anymore. I have a very large mistrust for mechanics because I saw their tendancy to be dishonest and take advantage of people. Family Auto goes above and beyond the call of duty to do what the customer needs. They are not selfish or anything like that.
I have gone in several times to other chain mechanics. I bought a lifetime guaranteed alignment from one, and they said 3,800 dollars of work needs to be done on my front end. I went over to Family Auto and asked them to verify this. They said, you know, this could be a really simple fix for 120 dollars for something other than what the other company wanted to charge 3,800 dollars for. They said I had a worn out tire arm and all sorts of suspension issues; Family Auto showed me that this was not the case.
I have even gone in expecting to have to drop several thousands of dollars for vehicle damage, and they turned around and said it will be much less. Other people were recommending 4-5k dollars of work on the computer, and Family Air went in and did it for much less. Everything perfect now. It works fine, with no problems.
They give simple, honest solutions to everything. You go in there, they are professional, and you know they will work with you to solve problems.
