First of all, I do not have a complaint with any of the people offering services at Patrick's. My complaint is with the ownership. I have had several gift certificates from Patrick's of Atlanta over the last few years and have received a few wonderful massages. After not going for quite a while, I tried to use another one of my gift certificates and the owner said they will NOT honor my gift certificates that clearly state ""NO expiration date"". He said they have changed ownership and that they now only issue gift certificates that expire within a year. He also stated that they just acquired the assets from the old company and not the debt and the gift certificates are considered debt. When I asked why they continued to send me email updates, but never mentioned the new policy he did NOT have an answer. If I had been informed, I would have made time to use the gift certificate right away. They still operate under the same name and use the same database for clientele. Instead of making sure that he kept a satisfied customer that would continue to refer others, he was more concerned with the fact that I waited to use the certificates. I had no reason to be in a hurry since they stated on the certificate that they do not expire. I told him that I think it is just poor customer service not to honor these and I mentioned that I was planning to contact the Better Business Bureau. He replied that I WOULDN'T be the first to file a complaint on him. Hmmm, I really don't think that was the best thing for him to say. Not a lot of confidence in the ""new"" owners business practices!!!
