Beware! I took my personal income taxes to them last year. This year I was audited and found to owe the government several thousand dollars because my preparer, who was on her cell phone the entire time, neglected input my income statements into their system. I usually do my own taxes, but I was rushed for time so I paid almost $400 to Jackson Hewitt to avoid the time and worry? BIG MISTAKE. Now I?ve wasted time with JH and the IRS working out the preparer?s mistake. They will only pay the $78 I owe in interest I owe but do not stand behind their service more than that. They haven?t even apologized. .. I was just told that the ?preparer didn?t include the income from the statements?. And when I asked how to file a complaint with management I was told that they could mail me an address to send a letter but wouldn?t give me any contact information over the phone!
