I recently took my wife to Bonefish Brandon on 11-19-11 for her birthday. I can say that honestly this was her favorite restaurant. After last night's experience, it is now one of the worst restaurants. We should have known Bonefish is cutting costs by the tables and servers uniforms. Rather than the white linens, Bonefish is now using brown paper to cover their tables. After ordering our Bang Bang shrimp and bottle of Merlot, we looked at the now reduced menu. When the appetizer arrived, we both starting eating the chewy and overcooked shrimp. Next, out finally came the bottle of wine. The server never asked if the bottle met our approval (no, it was bruise and too dry for my wife) Finally our entree's arrived. We both ordered Blackened ""Grouper"" with Jasmine rice for my wife and the vegetable medley for myself. My vegetables were undercooked (not even close to being al dente) and my wife's rice was hard and clumpy as it had been sitting out for some time. The ""Grouper"" was oily and fishy, rather than flaky. I actually question then authenticity of the ""Grouper"" being Grouper. The Mango salsa, was chunks of mango and no sauce. We actually both stopped eating and asked for to-go boxes and our wine to be bagged. We couldn't leave the place fast enough. This dinner actually ruined my wife's birthday. We will NOT be returning and recommend others visit someplace else. Bonefish is cutting costs at the expense of the guests experience, without reducing the menu prices. It is no longer worth the cost. Stay away!
