Bonefish Grill

I recently had reservations for 21 people to celebrate my girlfriend's surprise/birthday and surprise Proposal party. They had everything set up, the food, the service was excellent. They let me bring in a birthday cake and a surprise proposal cupcake for my girlfriend. I couldn't of asked for better service and also making this a very good event. All of my guest were pleased with the service, and how the birthday party went, and of course my girlfriend saying Yes to my proposal. The staff helped out on every aspect of this event. I hope they continue to keep up this type of service. I plan on going back more often to try more things on the menu. Thank you to the Manager and to the staff for a Job and a event that I will remember for a long time. more

I recently took my wife to Bonefish Brandon on 11-19-11 for her birthday. I can say that honestly this was her favorite restaurant. After last night's experience, it is now one of the worst restaurants. We should have known Bonefish is cutting costs by the tables and servers uniforms. Rather than the white linens, Bonefish is now using brown paper to cover their tables. After ordering our Bang Bang shrimp and bottle of Merlot, we looked at the now reduced menu. When the appetizer arrived, we both starting eating the chewy and overcooked shrimp. Next, out finally came the bottle of wine. The server never asked if the bottle met our approval (no, it was bruise and too dry for my wife) Finally our entree's arrived. We both ordered Blackened ""Grouper"" with Jasmine rice for my wife and the vegetable medley for myself. My vegetables were undercooked (not even close to being al dente) and my wife's rice was hard and clumpy as it had been sitting out for some time. The ""Grouper"" was oily and fishy, rather than flaky. I actually question then authenticity of the ""Grouper"" being Grouper. The Mango salsa, was chunks of mango and no sauce. We actually both stopped eating and asked for to-go boxes and our wine to be bagged. We couldn't leave the place fast enough. This dinner actually ruined my wife's birthday. We will NOT be returning and recommend others visit someplace else. Bonefish is cutting costs at the expense of the guests experience, without reducing the menu prices. It is no longer worth the cost. Stay away! more

My husband, and I went to the Brandon florida location for our anniversary. We actually enjoy going there, but the past two visits were very disappointing. My food was great as always, the servers were great, but my husbands food is always undercooked. The first time it was fish, but the second time it was pork. We called the waitress over (our waiter was busy), and we didn't even have to say anything she looked at the meat and said oh wow did it wiggle?? The manager/owner Bruce, came to our table with the heated up meat, and gave us this sorry ass excuse that the server should of asked us if we wanted the PORK cooked well we should of said so. The waiter said that he never heard of not cooking pork thoroughly, a little pink is ok, but come on.. He also said that they use radiation on the meat now, and said don't worry you won't get sick or nothing. Does he think we are stupid? You served raw PORK, and was covering his ass. My hubby was ill all weekend. Thanks very much for the excuses instead of an apology. I still love it there, but if you go there make sure your food is cooked, because you'll just get excuses.. Such a shame!! more

The professional, thorough, friendly, wait staff are the best in town for restaurants in this price range. We love the signature dish: bang bang shrimp. The bread and oil with spices is excellent (Jesse's please take note!) And the general atmosphere is high class. It's a great place to take friends or clients. Pros: The owner/manager Bruce is passionate about his restaurant. Cons: It's too far from our home. more

All the Bonefish Grill Restaurants, we have been to (4), have been wonderful. We usually go to the Brandon, Florida location. The restaurants have a nice understated transitonal decor. Pros: Very Good Food Cons: Can be a long wait on weekends - But worth it. more

I recently visited Bonefish Grill in South Tampa. We received superb service from Tiffany, our server. My husband ordered a filet cooked medium rare, and they cooked it well! We returned the meal, they kindly fixed the problemand sent the manager of the restaurant over to our table. This man is a real JERK! He explained to us the reason why he is there, and how the previous manager did such a horrible job, that they had to fire him. He then gloated about how he has turned this restaurant around, and how he has complete control over the location... I thought to myself... I sure do feel bad for whoever the previous manager was, because from the way he was talking, he was completely trashing him. Besides that, Tiffany was superb, and the food was great... This location has my vote to be the chain flagship. This restaurant offers a different delectable preparation of exotic fish every time you visit. Also, many different preparations are available for any type of fish; mango salsa, Asian, and tomato garlic. I highly recommend ordering the mussels to start and if you are really treating yourself, order a lobster tale with dinner; it is the best I have ever tasted.
