I called my home warranty company to have my heater fixed. I had to wait a week for them to get a technician because I have a hydronic heating system. The technician came out and turned the hot water heater up to the hottest setting. He flushed the system and replaced the thermostat but the heat still didn't work. The pump was out. So, I had to wait another week. He returned to fix the pump. To replace the pump, he had to turn the water off. He said that the valves on the hot water heater were bad and needed to be replaced. So he used the main water valve at the front of the house...and it broke. And it's not covered by the warranty company. So, they dispatched a plumber out. They got the water back on and the plumber said he would come back to try and fix the valves and the main water valve. And before they left, the hot water heater started leaking in the overflow and we had limited hot water. Not enough hot water to take a shower.
