I received excellent service 7/28/2011

I contacted my home warranty policy, and California Express Enterprise was called out for the repairs. Fortunately, the serviceman they sent out to me honestly did a great job, despite the other reviews. His name was Jacob Ramirez. He was punctual. He communicated well with me about the issues. His work was fast. He went over everything with me to be sure that the work was satisfactory before he left. I would recommend him. more

I just wanted my heater fixed! 1/29/2011

I called my home warranty company to have my heater fixed. I had to wait a week for them to get a technician because I have a hydronic heating system. The technician came out and turned the hot water heater up to the hottest setting. He flushed the system and replaced the thermostat but the heat still didn't work. The pump was out. So, I had to wait another week. He returned to fix the pump. To replace the pump, he had to turn the water off. He said that the valves on the hot water heater were bad and needed to be replaced. So he used the main water valve at the front of the house...and it broke. And it's not covered by the warranty company. So, they dispatched a plumber out. They got the water back on and the plumber said he would come back to try and fix the valves and the main water valve. And before they left, the hot water heater started leaking in the overflow and we had limited hot water. Not enough hot water to take a shower. The plumber said the office would call to set up a t more

Don't Use This Company 1/29/2011

I called my home warranty company to have my heater fixed. I had to wait a week for them to get a technician because I have a hydronic heating system. The plumber said the office would call to set up a time. So, I was getting ready to run an errand a couple days later and I open my garage door and there he was. No one called to set up a time. So, he came in and said the valves on the hot water heater were fine and didn't need replacing. (I never got an answer why the heating guy couldn't use those valves) and he turned the hot water heater temperature down and later that day, the hot water supply returned to normal. He didn't have the part for the main valve. He was going to run to home depot and be right back. He never came back. I called the office later that day. They said they would talk to him and call me back. They never did. I called them on Monday and they said that he couldn't get the part on Friday. But he was coming out that afternoon. Wow, thanks for calling and making sure I would be there. He had the wrong part. He would get the right part. He didn't fix the hot water heater. He said I needed to call the warranty company for a new order and that it was a heating problem. So we had scheduled the heating guy to come out the next day. On Wednesday, the heating guy called me and told me that the hot water heater was a plumbing problem and he swore that the hot water problem would be fine if we turned to heater up to the hottest temperature. I explained to him 3 times that it was turned up when we had the hot water problem and we turned it down and the hot water problem was fine. He really wanted me to turn the temperature back up. He did not come back out. So, later that week I called the company to find out if the plumber was ever going to come back. I was put on hold and some guy came on and told me that they have to bust out the concrete to fix the main water valve and it's going to cost me a lot more. They guy started arguing with me when I told him that the heating guy should have used the valves by the hot water heater. Why didn't he use them????!!!!! And why doesn't your company ever call me to let me know what's going on. So, we had another company come out for a 2nd opinion. The hot water heater is experience thermal expansion and we need a something or other which will cost $350 and is not covered by the warranty company (I think it was caused by the brilliant heating guy turning the temperature up to the hottest setting). And the main valve will cost $1350 to repair (estimate). So, by the time they fixed my heater the temperature has warmed up and I haven't needed to use my heat so I don't even know if the heater works and I have $1700 in repairs I need to make to my house. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!!! They never call to set up and appointment and I would question the skill level of their technicians. more

Stay away from California express 1/11/2011

Do not use this company at all. This company is now opened under the name express plumbing and heating. The owner name is Terry Watson however he does not hold a license himself. He uses someone else license to run his business. If you pull his license up you will notice that the address that he uses for his new company is directly next door to his office California express. Also when you call his new company phone number they answer the phone using California express. I'm sure the people who license he uses is not aware of the bad contractor that Terry Watson is. This guy is no good for the consumers and he lies about everything. This company has a complaint list within the warranty companies that is out of this world.......stay away from this company....actually in response to the home owner below this company is known to have 30 employees and is listed under california express enterprise Inc.......as well as express plumbing heating and air....terrible, terrible company. more

DON'T USE CALIFORNIA EXPRESS ENTERPRISE FOR ANY HOME REPAIRS!! 11/30/2010

I have my Home Warranty policy through Sensible Home Warranty who have great people working for them. They sent a repairman from California Express Enterprises out to repair my wall furnace in my 1952 home. The pilot wouldn't stay lit so I consequently didn't have any heat and it's November 2010! We have had a couple cold streaks and my furnace going out coincided with one of these cold bursts. I had to stay at my sister's house with my cats until this got fixed. They came out on Friday before the Thanksgiving Holiday week. He fixed the copper wire that goes to the pilot and replaced my thermostat on the wall. I also told him that the furnace is REALLY LOUD and could he please check and fix that too. He said the bolts holding the fan on were loose, especially the top left one. However, after tightening the other three, he tried tightening the top left one and apparently it was a tight space to get his hand into in order to really tighten up that last bolt. I asked if a smalle more

Here you go Jennifer, I told you I would let everybody know!!! 8/25/2010

Through our home warranty company, Old Republic Home Protection Company, INC., California Express Enterprises Inc, (Air Conditioning repair) was given the contract to repair our Air Conditioning Problem. Our A/C went out on 7/14/2010 and we called in the problem. We were told that CA Express , per their employee & Old Republic, would be out Thursday morning per conversation on 7/14/2010. We called on Thursday morning 7/15/2010 at 8am to verify the time, and found out the window was changed to be "FRIDAY" 7/16/2010 between 10 am to 2pm. We had to get a hotel for 2 days due to the heat wave that had hit us being that our house was over 85 degrees at night & over 90 in the days. Their representative did not show up until after 5:30pm, again, his window was 10am-2pm. I had to accept this or be forced to spend more money for a hotel room since my house was 95 degrees inside while being 105 degrees outside during the day. Their tech, after much complaining, temporarily fixed the problem, but more

Jennifer, I told you I would let everybody know about this!!

We called on Thursday morning at 8am to verify the time, and found out the window was changed to be ""FRIDAY"" 7/16/2010 between 10 am to 2pm. Their rep did not show up until after 5:30pm. I had to accept this or be forced to spend more money for a hotel room since my house was 87 degrees. Their tech, after much complaining, temporarily fixed the problem, but needed to come back to replace some parts. The condensor ""was broken"", it is 30 years old and needed to be ""replaced"" more than it needed to be ""patched"". A week later he replaced the fan inside the 30 old unit which caused it to start shaking like a broken unbalanced clothing washing machine. After 30 days, nature has taken its course. I don't know if all of the shaking is causing a freon leak but my house at 2am last night and nights before have a temp of 77 degrees when it is 82 outside. On 8/23/2010 I called and asked for the Mgr/President, Terry Watson. I left him a message to call call me back. He never did. I called again & was told he was busy & Jennifer would talk to him. All I was asking for was to make this right, I did not want the tech that showed up hours late both times to come back, (he isn't even an employee of the company). The tech said my issue was under warranty for 1 year with his company, but gave me nothing in writing. I even asked for a business card, there wasn't one. He wasn't even wearing a company shirt or driving a company vehicle?? Jennifer called me back and stated since I did not want to deal with the original tech, Shawn or Sean, that they would not be able to help me and I should call Old Republic back and pay for a 2nd company to fix my issue. (WOW.. way to stand by your warranty.) I asked Jennifer if she wished me to give her company to most negative review to Old Republic, she said no, but since I did not want to deal with Sean/Shawn, that there were no other options. I asked why there is not another person in the whole company that can fix this, (even asked for a real ""company employee"" of her company?) She only stated to call Old Republic so I have. ""THIS COMPANY DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A WEBSITE...?"" more
