Had never had a massage before, so was really excited to relax & unwind… Instead had a horrific experience. Massage was PAINFUL, and when I would indicate that I was in pain, masseuse would press harder, and tell me to breathe through my mouth. She also had me press my arm against her leg, and lift my foot & knee off the table to relieve pain – felt like I was doing pilates. And then she told me to relax while I did those things. And she wondered why I couldn’t relax… My back is still in pain 2 days later (and I have a high tolerance for pain – have had 3 c-sections, and thought while on the table that that hurt worse than recovery – it’s ridiculous that I didn’t get up and leave). Also, during checkout, my masseuse stayed in the checkout area as they asked “how was your massage,” and when they asked how much I’d like to tip… I wanted to say “AWFUL,” and leave no tip, but I’m a southern girl, and am extraordinarily non-confrontational. Wish now that I’d had some backbone. There may be some good masseuses here, but it’s not worth the risk of getting one like the one I had… Avoid this place.
