First off I have to say, I love my therapist James!
He is the best Massage Therapist out there! I highly recommend him!
Second, I am extremely unsatisfied with the company as a whole and with the manager at the Greenville location.
Let me start off by saying, I am an Esthetician, I have been in the business for 6 years and have managed salons before.
Like most Americans, I got laid off at the spa I was working at and was unemployed for 3 months, I did not cancel my membership, because I understand the importance of keeping my contract. I did not however see my therapist for a while, because I believe in tipping karma and could not tip him. Because of this, I had 6 massages saved up.
When I was financially able , I went to see James, I asked the front desk how long I have to use my extra massages. I was told a month from the date on which my contract ended.
I was a little upset, since I did pay for these massages, I should be able to use them when ever. But I love James so I was going to go ahead and renew anyways.
On my last appointment I was going to call and cancel because I knew I would not be able to make it, and it slipped my mind till I got a call from the front desk. Once again, I am in the business and I work on comission, so I know how frustrating a no show can be. I loose money! But I also always waive the first no show a client has, because we all know things happen. When I called the front desk, I was told I would have to pay the full service. I was shocked! I asked him if the fee could be waived, since I have never been late or no showed. He put me through to the manager, who basically told me, no! She explained she had been turning down people all day and could not waive my fee. This infuriated me! Since I know she could waive the fee! I have people on a wait list all most every day were I work and when I get no showed I still don't charge them! As a manager, I would have waived the fee. She showed no compassion for me and said she could take the fee out of one of my saved up massages! This was HORRIBLE costomer service. And because of her I WILL NOT renew my contract. Not only will I tell everyone I know not to go to Massage Envy, I work at a salon were we don't have a massage therapist. I have always recommended Massage Envy. Not only will I tell them NOT to go there, I will also tell them how horrible that manager was and the bad experiance I had with them.
I am all about customer service and keeping clients happy! This manager failed!
