I thought I was doing a good thing by arranging for them to come out twice a year for a system checkup. In the spring trip, they talked me in to installing expensive surge protectors. Shame on me for being so gullible.\r

Then in the fall trip, they found a bad capacitor. They charged me $195 for it. I found that the part has a retail price of $22.95 online...this is an incredible markup considering that they were already at my home and just had to take 10 minutes to install an inexpensive part.\r

Altogether, I spent well over $500 this year on basic maintenance for my system. Again, shame on me for gullibility. But more shame on them for being snakes in the grass.
