I have always enjoyed the food at La Puente restaurant. The chili, beans, tortillas, etc., are made fresh everyday. Although it may not look and taste like Mexican food from Mexico, that's because this food is a mix of American Indian, Spanish, and other European countries, and Mexican. This is the traditional Mexican style food of the Southwestern United States, and in this instance, New Mexico. Traditional food that has been around since before much of the southwest became part of the U.S. This is a food one would get from grandma's kitchen.
If you want excellent New Mexico Mexican food, take your family to La Puente, I do. It is by far the best in Utah. Although all La Puente restaurants serve excellent food, the one I usually go to is on South State street. Enjoy!!!
