Theft and vandalism are common problems at this skating rink. Employees are hostile and defensive when questioned about rink policy and procedure concerning lost items. Items turned into lost and found are given away with little or no attempt to verify actual ownership. The general facility maintenance and cleanliness are both poor, the main parking lot is on the side of the building and is not adequately lit. Friday night admission requires submitting to metal detectors and thorough searches of bags and purses.
This is the closest rink to my home, and I have been a weekly patron for the past year. But it has gotten to the point that I can no longer justify the risks I take just to save myself an extra 15 minutes in the car. I now gladly pay more and drive farther. Under no circumstances would I ever recommend this facility to anyone.
