I initially called a month before my needed appointment. I got scheduled in, but the lady on the phone wasn't quite sure what week of pregnancy was appropriate for a gender scan. She chose 16 weeks. I called again a few weeks later to confirm and double check that 16 weeks was OK, and it was another women. This one had no idea when I should come in. She said she had to ask someone else and she would call me back. Fast forward to the week of my appointment. I got my doctor to send a note saying I'm getting prenatal care, but a man at the office said this wasn't good enough. They needed specific authorization from my doctor saying it was OK for me to get an US from them. He even talked directly to my nurse. No bueno. He canceled my appointment. He said they always have a problem getting good enough authorizations from my doctor's office. I told him I would appreciate having been told this a month out, and not the day before my appointment. He said he would have told me, but the other ""girls"" in the office didn't know this. The lack of knowledge, communication, and helpfulness was confusing and frustrating. I hate having been made to wait a month for a much-anticipated appointment only to be told it was canceled due to nitpicky paperwork stuff that I could have been told about long before. Pros: can't think of any Cons: they do not have their stuff together more
