Only went to Dr Gordon because he was the only pediatric dentist in network. My son was 2 and had some decay and breakage on his front tooth. Dr. Gordon cleaned his teeth on the first fisit. It was terrible. He had me lay on top of my son and hold his legs and arms while the nurse held his face. He also put some kind of metal thing in his mouth to hold it open., The hole time my son cried and screamed. For his broken tooth Dr. Gordon said because of his age he would have to be hospitalized and put to sleep to do the procedure. They got approval with insurance company that they would cover the cost. Dr Gordon told me that he would have to use silver caps on the front teeth and their wasn't another option. The day of the surgery when it was all over and Dr Gordon came out to the waiting room to tell us how it went, he said that since he had time he went ahead and did a root canal and used a white coating over the tooth. I was glad that he didn't use the silver caps as previously stated but also wondered why he had changed after telling us that the silver was the only option. My sons tooth looked great and Dr Gordon did a great job on his tooth. Later I received a bill for $5,000 saying the insurance would not cover this procedure. I only went back a couple more times to see Dr. Gordon for cleanings and the same thing happened each time. I found a new doctor and my son is fine with the new doctor. I would not recommend Dr. Gordon seeing small children. I think he needs to stick with teens and adults.
