I dropped my car off for a quote but authorized no work being upfront and telling them that if it was too expensive I was going to take it to the dealer. When I called to check on whether or not they had a quote ready for me (they had not gotten back to me) I was told they began the work without my authorization anyway and wouldn't have a quote for me until it was finished. I asked when this would be ready and the woman was very rude to me and said I should be grateful they fit me in. I told her I no longer wished to give them my business, that I would not be needing a quote, and I would be picking my car up. She said ok. A few minutes later I received a call from a man saying that they had already began the work on my car (without my permission) and that I would have to pay to get my car back. I said that I did not authorize any work, that I was perfectly clear in the beginning it was only there for a quote, and that I would not be paying any money to receive my car back. He was rude, but agreed. About 15 minutes later I show up to pick up my car. I walked in and asked for my keys and was given them no problem. When I walked out to the parking lot to get into my car, I saw that my front door was in my backseat. When I walked back into the shop to ask if they expected me to drive home like that, the man said that if I wanted my car put back together I would have to pay them to do so. I argued that my car should be returned to me in the same condition it was given to them especially since NO work was authorized. I ended up having to call the local police and file a report. Don't waste your time here.
