When looking for a gown, you want some degree of personal service. While price is a consideration for everyone, we are not entirely limited by expenses. We thought we would try David's Bridal, as the gowns look nice and are moderately priced. Any price advantage is lost when customer service is taken into account. These people do not know the details of the dresses, and make you feel rushed, like they are helping you after-hours.
I would consider (at least this franchise) only if given no other choices. I can't speak to the other franchises, but will certainly not mind paying a little extra money to have more individualized attention at the many bridal shops here in the Denver area.
