I had a friggin blast at this place! I have a list of Italian restaurants in New York that i'm trying to get to, one at a time. So I pick this one first. I drive up from Boston by myself. I got lucky and ended up there on a saturday night. The best night to go because of the singing in the back. I walk in, I see double-breasted suits and pinky rings, I love it already. I get seated right down. The waiter comes right over. He was easy going and friendly. The food was total old-school traditional italian cuisine. I got some kind of veal dish, veal piccata I think it was. The only tiny little complaint I had was that the food could have been a little bit hotter when it was served. But then I finish my meal and the waiter sees me staring at the back room where the singing was going on. I thought it was some private party or something.
