Worth every minute of the drive!!! 12/2/2010

I had a friggin blast at this place! I have a list of Italian restaurants in New York that i'm trying to get to, one at a time. So I pick this one first. I drive up from Boston by myself. I got lucky and ended up there on a saturday night. The best night to go because of the singing in the back. I walk in, I see double-breasted suits and pinky rings, I love it already. I get seated right down. The waiter comes right over. He was easy going and friendly. The food was total old-school traditional italian cuisine. I got some kind of veal dish, veal piccata I think it was. The only tiny little complaint I had was that the food could have been a little bit hotter when it was served. But then I finish my meal and the waiter sees me staring at the back room where the singing was going on. I thought it was some private party or something. But he sais "no, go ahead, go sit down" so i go sit in the back and watch the music. It's middle aged italian women singing girl group songs. The ronettes, t more

What an Italian restaurant should strive for. 10/17/2010

Everything from start to finish was great. The wait staff, the variety of dishes, the bread, and the desserts were fantastic. Where there are so many restaurants on Arthur ave in the Bronx to choose from, this is the ONE. The prices are reasonable, and they have a parking lot too. Hope to go again before we leave. My husband lost his cell phone there, and it was recovered. Thank you again. more

the best place to go with family and friends 2/7/2010

great selections they also made a requested dish not on the menu. i hate when a restaurant rushes everything out. we took our time eating, pasta dishes were perfect. we will definately be back. Pros: great cavatelli and garlic an oil pasta dishes Cons: none more

Excellent service, real ""italian"" food 9/8/2008

No one can say this restaurant doesn't serve authentic Italian cuisine. It is superb. The service is exceptional. We were treated like old friends, even though it was our first time there. We cannot recommend this restaurant more highly. We've been to probably half the Italian restaurants in Manhattan's Little Italy, and ALL of the Bronx's Little Italy Italian restaurants. We rate Rigoletto's in the top 2 in the Bronx and the top five in Manhattan...it's hard to find a better restaurant. Pros: Good service, excellent food more

Fantastic food and service! 8/7/2008

We adore this restaurant! Wonderful food! My husband can't have salt or sauces- to be able to cook PERFECT fish, without seasoning- outstanding! I eat directly from the menu. The fish, the eggplant parmagana, the salads, the vegetables- all fantastic! The free brochetta and pieces of parmesan cheese served immediately, along with the wonderful bread, are SO yummy! Pros: Everything! Cons: Sometimes it gets really crowded and their parking lot is full- expected with such a good restaurant! more

Worst food on the avenue 8/4/2008

Wow, I've heard about the food on Arthur Avenue, but this was really terrible. Four of us and everyone had a bad meal. And the server was rude--plus he brought the wrong entrees!. The pasta was overcooked and the sauce tasted like vinegar. Stay away! Pros: nothing! Cons: THE FOOD Eeeeech! more

I went to this restaurant in March before Easter only because Dominick's was fuul and went they brougth the bread to the table I knew that wasn't a good day. How do youy get a bad bread in Arthur Avenue? The food was ok, but I was very disappoitment with the bread. more

Fabulous food, great staff, wonderful singing on a Saturday Night 3/5/2008

I am so glad that I went to this restaurant before reading the first two reviews on this site. My experience at Pasquale Rigoletto was exceptional. On arrival, you can see the that this restaurant is a favorite of many people. My party of four waited for about 15 minutes for our table. We were seated by a very nice gentleman, and the waiter came over immediately to greet us and take our drink order. We were fortunate to sit in the back room on a Saturday night, where most customers want to be. At 8PM, an organist starts playing music and after a little while, a wonderful singer comes on the scene and entertains the entire restaurant. She has a couple of guests who also sing, and each singer complements the other. While you enjoy your delicious meal, you are entertained and sometimes you become part of the show. A couple of times, the microphone is put in front of you and you find yourself singing and having a great time. Pros: I enjoy myself every time I go there Cons: You must call early for a Saturday reservation more

Pasquale Rigoletto Restaurant 1/5/2008

Went to this restaurant on New Year's Eve because Dominicks was closed. No comparison. The restaurant was not busy but service was slow. The ravioli were mushy and overcooked. The waiter had an attitude and kept yelling at the bus boys. Don't waste your time and money here. There are many more better restaurants on Arthur Avenue than this one. Cons: Pasta was overcooked and expensive more

You can try it, watch for the attitude 12/26/2007

though we are by no means strangers to little italy, and the restaurant and shopping there, we never ate at Pasquales. it came recommended by a dear friend. this was my son's 19th b'day and he's in love with his italian heritage and the whole ambience of Little Italy. The meal was ""o.k."" the service was good and the attention the same. The attitude of the waiter when the wrong appetiser was brought to the table was uncomparably the worstattitude that could be delivered to a customer and his/her guests. This to the point of the waiter being reprimanded by the captain and still the attitude continueduntil the time of the check. then came the smile. The restaurant accepts amex and all other cards but when i gave my amex platinum, it was returned by another attendant as ""no good"". i looked for the m/c i wished to use and was graced with a 4 letter word half under his breath. I didn't hear it but my 23 yr old son did and only told me when we left. As I said, the food was good, the main service the same...attitude can destroy any good time and they succeeded here. Roberto's!!! here we come!! Pros: ambience is typical ""italian"" flare Cons: negative vibes in attitude of the waiter more

Most Fun in The Bronx 11/28/2007

This is a really fun place, its lively and the food is great if you appreciate old fashion red sauce Italian. Its like going homw again. I love it on Saturday nights the best. I was told to go by newnewyorker dot com Pros: lots of old time fun Cons: not easy to get to from Manhattan more

nice place 7/24/2006

went here on recomendation of friend.... atmoshpere nice...very entertaining....food was disapointing....expected better quality. more

One of the best! 1/19/2005

I had the best time there. This is a great place to eat and have fun. Go there on a Saturday night and request the singing room. There is a woman who heads up a small group of ""croonies"". Feel free to get up and sing-a-long to old Italian favorites or Do-Wop. This is place where Do-Op was born...Little Italy in the Bronx. The food and the service are fantastic! Mangia tutti... Cons: , Great food & Serice, Great fun more

worth the trip to the Bronx 10/28/2002
