Dorsie's Dairy Bar is by FAR one of the cleanest foodservice establishments in Pike County. They always receive 90%+ on health dept. surveys. The owner purchased the business from her Mother and has been in business over 45 years providing quality foods at a great price with the highest sanitation and service standards in town. The coleslaw is made fresh daily from fresh produce from Reynold's Market (the owner's brother). The chili is made daily starting around 7:00am and simmers until 2:00pm. YUM!!! The owner does not sell her chili regardless of many request, because that would be almost an entire business to itself. The ice cream is magnificant. She buys only quality ingredients that have to have an unspecified (secret) amt. of butter fat to make it creamy and smooth. The best in town!!! I have had many food items from Dorsie's and it is honestly hard to decide a favorite. I LOVE it all!!! The fish, which is 100% Alaskan cod filets is superb! The BBQ Pork-to die for
