Curt and Apathetic Staff 6/19/2009

I went to St. Charles Vision only to pick out a pair of glasses. When I visited the St. Charles Ave. store, I had just had an eye exam with another optometrist, so I can't speak of the quality of care one might receive from Dr. Glaser or Dr. Leach. However, the apathy of the staff is certainly a poor reflection of the business as a whole.\r \r Before I went to the store, I called to ask some questions. My questions were answered, though very curtly, so I already suspected the staff wasn't necessarily friendly. But maybe the woman I spoke to was very busy, or was having a bad day, whatever. So I was willing to give St. Charles Vision the benefit of the doubt and went over to look at frames.\r \r Although there were several customers in the office when I walked in the door, two women who weren't assisting anyone looked right at me, but said nothing. Ok.\r \r So maybe they soft sell. ""It'll be nice to take my time and look without having someone breathing down my neck,"" I thought. Though I don't know what the procedure would be if I'd actually had an appointment. But, again... benefit of the doubt.\r \r I scanned the frame selection carefully, trying on several pairs. All told, I was there for about ten minutes. In those ten minutes I found a pair of glasses I really liked and would have purchased. But because I wasn't once approached by the staff, despite their making eye contact with me several times, I took note of the frames I wanted and left to purchase them elsewhere.\r \r I would say that this experience was akin to going to The Soup Na*i (*z - Citysearch censored), but at least he takes your order.\r \r Cons: Nonexistent customer service more
