I have been to this restaurant only four times since 2004 and it is usually empty. I was there today b/c I wonder if it is b/c of the place or is it b/c of the food. I have not enjoyed the food and never seen more than four tables full at one time, The food has never seemed fresh and the place has gone down hill. For example, the lighting dull, lack of staff and the water tasted like pipe water outside NYC.I told my husband this was my last time there no matter how much their menu sounded appetizing. Unfortunately, this neighborhood needs a restaurant where the food is not expensive nor fried and these are two things Barbecue Pit does offer.
