I've been a fan of Belmont Station for a long time, but the last time I visited to have a beer with two of my friends the bartender was less than par. We were sitting outside and the bartender was cleaning a table and I asked if I could order another beer and he told me to order at the bar even though he was right there. I didn't quite understand the reason for ordering at the bar as opposed to ordering from my table but I did it anyways. After finishing our beers I got the tab and paid with a credit card. I tipped the bartender $3 for a $23.75 tab even though his service was poor. Two days later, I reviewed my receipt to see that he had added a $3 gratuity charge in addition to a $20.75 tab making my tab a total of $23.75 plus the tip I left him. I am not happy about this. His service sucked and he had the audacity to slip in a gratuity fee for THREE (not 6 or more which is standard) people! No where on the receipt does it say ""gratuity added"". Be aware of this if you go there. I will continue to shop at Belmont Station in the future, but I will make sure that I voice my concerns to the owner.
