Been here before, won't go again. We were the first group (5 people) for a friday lunch and arrived at 11:30am. One of our guests hadn't arrived yet so our waitress assumed we didn't want to order and never bothered to ask. Once our final guest arrived, she took our order at 11:45. Apparently the waitress held on to the order and turned it in after noon (we were told the order wasn't turned in until after noon by the owner). We were one of the last groups to get our food @ almost 1pm. One of our guests had to leave before they could eat. The owner lectured us that we should expect this slow of service on a friday at a sushi bar and offered a 25% discount afer being offered 75% by the manager, which didn't happen. We eat sushi regularly during our lunch HOUR and never get this slow/poor service at any other sushi establishment. This was a special trip dowtown as we hadn't eaten at Tsunami in a while. Poor management and slow staff. Appreantly he's never considered hiring more cooks. While we we waiting for our food we had other customers telling us of similar experiences and told us they had received fully comp'd meals and additional gift certificates. 25% was a joke and an insult. The lecture was the biggest insult. I would expect the owner and the manager to handle themselves more professionally and more courteously. I refuse to give either of the any more of my money and if we had known we were going to pay for 75% of the ticket, we would have left before the food was brought out.
