UNFAIR AND UNJUST OFFICE POLICY< 11/17/2008

The day started great, my youngest daughter had just been signed up with Ballet and she was excited and ready to go, along the course of the afternoon in the middle of my errands I realized that I had missed MY FIRST EVER appointment with someone I thought was very kind and understanding that is why I saught her help, because my mother raged about how sweet and caring she was, turns out this sweet caring person went into my file and decided that I needed to be punished by withdrawing $150.00 from my checking account for missing my FIRST EVER APPOINTMENT, I tried to call the office and I spoke with the Office manager who did not even offer to transfer me to the ""nurse practitioner"" to be able to explain myself and apologize, the billing manager simply said ""You signed the paperwork when you came in for the appointment you should have known the policy....Not one empathetic word came out of her mouth not even after I had told her that the I am a mother of two living in Fort Carson, with my husband currently in his third tour to Iraq in the past four years, and that the withdrawal has caused several of my bill payments to bounce and now I am broke as well until next payday...I went to them for help and ended up punished financially for a simple oversight and I received no understanding or support by them they were cold and uncaring. I canceled all my future appointments with them and promised to spread the word of how UNFAIR AND UNJUST THEIR POLICY IS! You aren't helping your community when you treat your patients in this manner, it is counter productive! I will make certain to spread the word throughout the military community! Pros: It was close to Fort Carson Cons: Unjust office policy of charging a ridiculous amount of money for missing a first appt!!!! more
