I had an idea. I wanted to make a cake consisting of two dinosaurs. One was to be a T-Rex, and the other a triceratops. Not so unusual, two dinosaurs on a cake, but I wanted more. I wanted them to be done in a figurative style, realistic. The classic battle between two beheomouths with the T-Rex's jaws logged into the underbelly of the triceratops, it's ribcage exposed, guts spilled on a cretaceous landscape. I looked around hoping to find a bakery that would do justice to my vision. I am, aftwerall, a paleontologist--a career I pursued in no small measure. My point here is that Hansen Cakes did a great job. And the scientific community of which I belong was dually impressed. \r
