Charles Hines and Sons was the worst company I have ever used for services for my child. I had to have them investigated by Centerpoint, and the investigation came out in my favor. The worker they sent (briefly) was wonderful. But the QMRP and her superiors were unbelievably unprofessional, and totally insensitive. This agency mailed appeal paperwork to the wrong place and then lied about it. They cost my child over a year of services! They have never even bothered to apologize or admit to their wrongdoing. When they terminated my child's services because they had asked for too many hours and were denied the hours, they informed me via a school secretary on the very same day that her services were terminated- no notice whatsoever!!! I am enraged at the fact that they can still be in business, and still employ this inept QMRP. In any other responsible agency, she would have been immediately terminated. They do not care about clients at all, only about money. They also failed to place my child on the CAP list, although they said the paperwork had been completed and they had sent it. When an investigation began, they suddenly were able to produce a copy of the paperwork. I would not feel this tremendous animosity that I have for the Charles Hines Agency, if they had ever bothered to express regret or attempt to make amends for their proven wrongdoing. They need to be put out of business immediately before they do the same thing to another family. A year without any services is totally unacceptable!
Pros: The actual one-on-one worker was great.
Cons: The entire professional staff!!!
